Here are a few of our favorite new features.<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve seen updates about the new Intuit platform&nbsp; or Intuit\u2019s new &#8220;AI agents,&#8221; here\u2019s our firm\u2019s experience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve been beta testing the new Intuit Platform + the new AI agent. And yeah, it\u2019s different. But this time I\u2019m finding that it\u2019s actually pretty useful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s what\u2019s changing, and how it\u2019s already making a difference for us and our clients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The New UI:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/qckstaging.com\/celerity-2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Image-7-3-25-at-10.21\u202fAM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1343\" style=\"aspect-ratio:16\/9;object-fit:cover\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">QuickBooks is trying to feel more like one unified platform instead of a patchwork of features. The new interface is part of that shift.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Here&#8217;s what stands out:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>It\u2019s cleaner and quicker<\/strong>: The new look is solid. The first day I tested it, I figured it might slow me down with client work, but I was wrong. After a short learning curve, it was faster. Bookmarks, reports, and the create button are easier to find and use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Everything is an App:<\/strong> Reports and the dashboard are exceptions, but nearly everything else in QuickBooks is grouped into app modules. This feels like a setup for future features. I wouldn\u2019t be surprised to see more plug-and-play apps rolling out in the near future too.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Accounting App<\/strong>: This section I want to bring some special attention to because it\u2019s \u201cour section\u201d. That\u2019s right, we have a spot to find bank feeds, reconcile, add fixed assets, and all of the other accountant-specific things. It\u2019s in one section, vs. the three we used to have to go to.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Updated Dashboard:<\/strong> It\u2019s customizable, clean, and way more functional now. You edit the modules, see what invoices are overdue, and fix broken bank connections. Honestly, I\u2019ve never really paid much attention to the dashboard. Now it actually feels like a homepage. I hope they keep adding more customizations!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New Banking Screen:<\/strong> It\u2019s now a grid view, which I didn\u2019t think I needed until I used it. AI suggestions appear when you open up the transactions, with explanations on why it\u2019s categorizing a transaction a certain way. You also can now change the account it\u2019s coded to without actually opening up the transaction, which saves a ton of time on the manually categorized transactions. Small change, but likely big impact over the long-term.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Business Feed:<\/strong> You can upload receipts, invoices, bills, and expenses into it, and it uses OCR and AI to process them. It\u2019s early, but even now it saves time and feels like the beginning of something powerful.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Overall, This new UI actually feels like it was built for the accountants to use. Between fixing broken bank connections, adding third party apps, and getting our own \u201capp\u201d on the left-hand side, this feels like a pretty useful change so far for us.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AI Agents: The Accounting Agent<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:17px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s talk about the new Accounting Agent. I\u2019ve been using it, and no, it\u2019s not perfect yet, but it\u2019s already been helpful for us in a few client scenarios! Think of this as your newest intern who\u2019s helping you with a few of the smaller tasks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/qckstaging.com\/celerity-2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Image-7-3-25-at-10.25\u202fAM-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1335\" style=\"aspect-ratio:16\/9;object-fit:cover\" title=\"Agents\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Here&#8217;s what I&#8217;ve noticed so far:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Built-in Client Communication:<\/strong> You know those vague checks or weird transactions you have to ask about? Now, instead of manually tracking those in excel, you can flag them in QBO with a question like &#8220;What was this for?&#8221; or &#8220;Who was this check to?&#8221; QuickBooks tracks these for us in the system, lets you decide who to send it to, and emails it out. You can also pull a static link if you\u2019d rather send to your clients via other methods or your own email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New, Modern Bank Reconciliation Screen:<\/strong> You can upload a bank statement PDF and QBO will compare it against your G\/L, point out the differences, and even suggest how to fix them. For those clients that don\u2019t utilize or can\u2019t utilize the bank feeds fully, I think this could be super helpful. This feels like a brand-new reconciliation experience that I haven\u2019t seen elsewhere. The new reconciliation UI focuses on the transactions that need your focus versus showing you everything too, which I\u2019m a big fan of!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Anomaly detection for Financials:<\/strong> The AI scans the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet to find items that look off and explains why. For simple clients, this shaves real time off our reviews. For more complex ones, it\u2019s a second set of eyes to help point out the more obvious stuff. All in all, It\u2019s pretty awesome and saves a few minutes per month on our QuickBooks Clients.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Uploading Documents via Business Feed: <\/strong>This one\u2019s more subtle so far, but It\u2019s encouraging. You can upload PDFs\/images as invoices, bills, expenses, or receipts and the AI agent will create the transaction in QuickBooks for you. It\u2019s fairly accurate if you provide it with decent context to go off of. I use this all the time with clients who use third party invoicing apps that don\u2019t connect with QBO or who send invoicing data via email. Big time saver for the companies that need it.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Interested in more details? The time savings aren\u2019t huge but a few minutes per client turns into hours per month, which gives us more time to focus on the important things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right now, it\u2019s like having an eager intern that\u2019s actually helpful. Give it a year or two, and it might be at a staff accountant level on logic and judgment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Looking Ahead:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tech isn\u2019t perfect. But it\u2019s moving in the right direction. I\u2019m excited because these aren\u2019t pointless (shiny object) features, they seem like building blocks for something bigger in the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re already using QuickBooks, the new platform doesn\u2019t ask you to change much. But it does quietly improve a lot. And if you\u2019re still on the fence about AI in accounting, this is a low-risk way to get your feet wet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m envisioning a world where:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The AI flags &amp; notifies us of issues before we even notice them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It reminds us of when something needs to go to a client.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It catches weird transactions without us having to dig.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Less of the boring transactional stuff and more of providing great advisory value to our clients.
